The DHCPatriot™ is a fully redundant, high availabilty DHCP server appliance. It provides captive portal authentication of customer equipment without disrupting the network. It accomplishes this by using a centralized deployment scheme rather than an inline model. Further, customers will not need to install any software or do anything other than open a web browser to authenticate. In most cases, they will only need to do this once.

For the authentication services, the DHCPatriot™ can utilize its own internal authentication, or an external RADIUS server. Whether using the internal authentication, or an external RADIUS server, the DHCPatriot™ provides powerful tools for viewing MAC Address/IP Address/username/time corelation necessary for abuse complaint resolution, network security monitoring, as well as broadband CALEA compliance.
