The experience we have gained helping customers deploy our solutions in their networks has resulted in continuous technological improvements and new patents.
DSL for Telecommunication Carriers
DSL deployments are growing rapidly worldwide. Even the early lead gained by cable providers is being challenged. Yet, DSL broadband service cannot be delivered to everyone who wishes to subscribe. In some areas, as many as 50% of the subscribers do not qualify for ADSL services.
Paradyne's GranDSLAM DSL Access Multiplexers help overcome DSL limitations with unmatched flexibility and reliability. From compact 1U “slice” platforms, Paradyne 4200 series, to high-density central office chassis-based solutions, the GranDSLAM product line enhances the value of your existing infrastructure and puts profitability back into the picture.
Paradyne/Elastic Networks
In 2002 Paradyne merged with Elastic Networks DSL Solutions to provide an even further array of products. Elastic Networks IP based Carrier Class products allowed Service Providers the ability to provide a low cost DSL solution in hostile environments. The Elastic products continues to provide a scalable, flexible platform that supports a large array of next generation applications. The BitStorm 2400 series of products utilize a patented EtherLoop technology that coexists with Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) while using an advanced non-blocking architecture that delivers revenue-generating broadband services.
Reach DSL Technology
ReachDSL is a technology that many ILEC's and PTTs around the globe are using to complement ADSL as a part of their deployment strategy to extend coverage to the maximum number of subscribers. Using the lower portion of the frequency spectrum, ReachDSL provides simultaneous POTS and broadband data services over even the worst loop plant and premises wiring imaginable. ReachDSL easily delivers reliable high-speed services on unloaded or misloaded loops to customers that no other DSL technology can reach, with data rates up to 2.2 Mbps. Misloaded loops refers to circuits where a single load coil exists and it is not cost effective to have it removed. ReachDSL provides the only performance guarantee in the industry, with a guaranteed 256 Kbps at a distance of 18,000 feet. However, distances of over 60,000 Kbps have been attained with ReachDSL products without the use of repeaters or amplifiers.
