Zhone has a complete line of DSLAMs enabling the deployment of services to a range of locations. With multiple chassis sizes and compact form factor 1U DSLAMS Zhone's portfolio ensures that there is an option for the traditional Central Office style deployments to remote cabinets and Multi-Dwelling units.

In addition Zhone's DSLAMs offer a wide range of technologies including ADSL2+ (with Multiple Line Bonding), VDSL2, ReachDSL, and SHDSL. With most form factors providing the majority of these access technologies service providers have options that easily allow them to deploy high bandwidth residential services and business class symmetric services with Bonding to enable high bandwidths. The MALC is a full-featured Broadband Loop Carrier (BLC) optimized for delivering voice, data, and video services over a pure packet access network. MALC gives carriers the flexibility to cost-effectively deliver triple play services over existing facilities today and to migrate these services to a pure packet network. Deployed in the Central Office, Remote Terminal, outdoor cabinets or basements, the MALC is offered in a range of compact, hardened chassis supporting densities from 24 to 960 ports per shelf with integrated packet ring transport. With line cards, cabling, provisioning and management common to all chassis, the MALC minimizes training, stocking, and operating expenses.

The MALC enables service providers to deploy a wide variety of business and residential services in a single platform. These services are deployed over the MALC large list of access technologies which include fiber (both PON and Active Ethernet), ADSL2+, ReachDSL, SHDSL, POTS, ISDN and T1/E1.

Next Generation Metro Wi-Fi System

The SkyZhone metro Wi-Fi system gives network operators the means to utilize Wi-Fi to deliver a truly capable and reliable multi-service network. SkyZhone is line powered from the CO or remote terminal via a standards-based DSL line. The same copper pairs that provide power also provide high-speed backhaul. SkyZhone uses the IEEE 802.3ah Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) standard to provide up to 22 M/bps backhaul.

SkyZhone enables voice, video, and data communications. The dual draft-802.11n radio architecture of the 1624 model provides 2.4 GHz access for residential and commercial applications, while simultaneously providing 4.9 GHz access for Public Safety applications using IEEE 802.11 client devices.

Its all-MIMO antenna design (Multiple Input Multiple Output) is used to maximize the receive signal strength from typical low power client devices and to enable the SkyZhone to maintain a reliable link at distances longer than traditional outdoor Wi-Fi solutions.  Models are also available for use with local Ethernet and/or WDS Wi-Fi backhaul.

Zhone's Ethernet Access Products offer a variety of robust, carrier class Ethernet Access Devices (EADs) and high-density Ethernet aggregation for both fiber and copper applications. EtherXtend products include 802.3ah-compliant Ethernet over bonded SHDSL (2Base-TL), as well as Ethernet over bonded T1/E1, DS3/E3 and fiber based Active Ethernet, enabling Ethernet access services over any distance. EtherXtend EADs can be used together in point-to-point or multi-point applications, or they can be aggregated into Zhone's Multiple Access Loop Carrier (MALC), providing high-density Ethernet aggregation as well as fiber optic aggregation, ADSL2+, POTS, and TDM based services -- all from a single shelf. In addition, Zhone Ethernet Access products are fully backwards compatible with the IPD12000 IP DSLAM and all Network Extender products.

In addition as part of the residential CPE portfolio there is a complete line of NIDs designed to support both copper and fiber deployments to both residential homes as well as MDUs.  Custom branding of CPE on the modem, documentation and installation CD with an annual minimum purchase volume.  CPE will work in any network, with optimal throughput when paired with MALC and DSLAM central office equipment.
